When couples ask to go to the gorgeous white Spanish towns for wedding photos I always make a point of reminding them that there is nothing spanish people love more than weddings, brides and happy couples and so they should not be surprised at random people congratulating them, shouting “vivan los novios!” and generally commenting on how guapa the bride looks. If you go past any bar it can get quite loud but this was no ordinary time of the year…this wedding was in Marbella Feria week. Ferias are week long street parties commemorating each towns patron saint, in Marbella s case, Saint Barnaby.  In feria week you should times by a hundred the general lust for life that is common here and the gorgoeus Margaret and Mark got the full blast!

After a sedate, stress free getting ready stage and a catholic wedding at one of the loveliest churches in our area, Iglesia de La Encarnación, it was time to face the feria. Whilst guests were having a nice chilled drink at a local bar, off we went to take some photos. It didn’t take long to encounter groups of singers, dancers and  feria goers dressed to the hilt in Spanish traditional dresses and suits. Margaret looked simply stunning with a lacy slinky dress and a hair-do to die for, the love and connection between her and Mark evident in the great collection of photos we got.

After the session it was time to go to La Cabane, one of the most glam venue on the coast. The views from the pool area are amazing and the closeness to the sea gives us yet another opportunity to get more lovely photos. Speeches, dinner, cake and party all went smoothly, all coordinated by Sunshine weddings.
