Arguably the most fabulous and fun wedding of the season was Sarah and Finlay’s big day. It was a wedding day designed to both show the couple´s personalities in the decor and chosen venue, and their priorities, that their friends and family had THE best day.
Sarah was lucky to be supported by her lovely mum, dad and sister, and their closeness and love for each other was imprinted in the photos, the looks, the hugs…these are people who have a great time together. Her beautiful bridesmaids, dressed in gorgeous green, helped out and made sure the day was stress free and fun for her.
Finlay is a professional sportsman, who represents his country with pride. Many of his friends are part of the sport family, a big bunch of rowdy guy who were out to have a party and help their mate through the most important day of his life.
The ceremony was held in the charming Marbella Old town, in the main church Iglesia de la Encarnación, with its absolutely stunning golden altar framing he couple. After the ceremony, it was time to head to a typical Marbella bar for a few drinks and the chance to say hello to everyone in a more relaxing environment. When in the Old Town , it always a good idea to take some time to go round for a couple photo session. Sarah LOVES colour, so off we went, looking out for the strongest shades we could find..Marbella did not disappoint, doors, flowers, pots and the ubiquitous pink scooter from Plaza del Santo Cristo, which delights everyone.
Once a few cold drinks were had, it was time to start the reception at one of the best venues in Spain, the striking Finca de la Concepción. There guests were treated to even more drinks, canapes, and stunning gardens and views, surrounded by palm trees and tropical planting.
The dining area was a rot of oranges, red, fuchsias and pinks set out in colourful glass vases. A stunning, bold decoration full of personality and in keeping with Sarah´s love of dazzling colours.
Speeches had a perfect mix, with of lots of emotion and a pinch of embarrassing stories, with Sarah´s dad s speech a particular beautiful moment, where he paid tribute to the couple, their individual achievements and their love for each other and family.
The Finca was spectacularly lit up, and the DJ and band were ready to play in the party, where we can say, the guests gave it their all, dancing into the early hours!
