This blog is about the absolutely lovely 2013 wedding of Georgina and Chris, one of the nicest couples I have ever had the pleasure to work with.
Their ceremony was at the La Encarnación church in Marbella’s old town and the party at the Hacienda San José in Mijas, both venues are absolutely stunning and very traditional Spanish in style.
Right after the emotional ceremony we took a few minutes to have some water, it was quite hot but thankfully Heather, the organiser, had arranged for a local bar to provide us and the guests with drinks . We then went to the old town for a few couple photos. Marbella old town is a lovely place full of hidden streets, flowers and with a great vibe. If you are having photos done in the Old Town it’s a good idea to prepare yourself for shouts of “Guapa!” and “Viva la Novia!” as Spanish people love brides and are not afraid to show it!
It was then time to head to the Hacienda in a striking American Classic pink car and get the party started! Georgina and Chris with Heather and Tara s help had designed a brilliant, fun drinks area complete with haystacks and a wheelbarrow with Coronita beers in ice. The same vintage theme was carried through the outdoor dining area with beautiful table decorations and the loveliest roses I ve seen for a while.
Then came the sit down dinner and the speeches where all the emotion poured out, tears, laughs they were all there for me to record.
The whole day was capped off by great music, dancing and of course, a gorgeous cake! X
